Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving, powered by social media, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. For #GivingTuesday 2019, we’re highlighting a special project: Rehabilitation of the John Oliver Cabin Trail for Accessibility. Your contribution will make this popular destination in Cades Cove accessible to visitors with disabilities. National parks belong to ALL Americans so let’s make it possible for everyone to engage with the rich collection of stories and resources that reflect our heritage and diversity.
Help Friends of the Smokies make new friends on #GivingTuesday!
This year, we’re providing a social media tool kit with images and text so you can share why you’re giving to support Great Smoky Mountains National Park and inspire your friends on social media to become Friends of the Smokies!
Facebook is matching Giving Tuesday gifts on Dec. 3, 2019, starting at 8 a.m. EST.
Donations are matched dollar for dollar on a first-come, first-served basis until $7 million in eligible donations are made on Facebook. Up to $100,000 will be matched per nonprofit. Each individual donor can have up to $20,000 matched. There are no processing fees on Facebook so 100% of your donation will support the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Help us spread the word on your Facebook page HERE.
