Meet Nan Kelley

Born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, southern hospitality and the ability to shoot the breeze with anyone about anything were not just taught—they were practically encoded in Nan Kelley’s DNA. “I grew up in a beauty shop and you certainly pick up the gift of gab around the shampoo bowl,” admits Kelley.

The former Miss Mississippi was a major personality on the Scripps-owned television network, Great American Country (GAC) through her longtime role as host of the popular Top 20 Countdown. In addition, she was the host of the Grand Ole Opry’s television show Opry Live for 8 years and has hosted many specials for GAC, including the Academy of Country Music and the CMA Red Carpet shows. Nan hosted the HGTV special Country Stars At Home and has appeared on the Travel Channel, DIY, Fine Living, and the Armed Forces Network.

Nan and her husband, Charlie, a Grammy-nominated musician/producer, are now regulars on the Circle TV network with their motorcycle travel series Authentic America, which showcases unique and off-the-beaten path things to see, do, and experience in our country.

When she’s not on the road or in the studio, Nan spends time at home  in Nashville with Charlie and their two dogs, Jerry Lee and Nessie and Casey, the cat.
