Friends of the Smokies will hold its first annual Smokies Cup on Friday, September 20, at the Biltmore Sporting Clays Club in Asheville.

Biltmore Sporting Clays Club
The Biltmore Sporting Clays Club is the location for the Smokies Cup competition on Sept. 20.

The Biltmore Sporting Clays Club is housed in the restored Jones House, a contributing building to the Biltmore’s national historic landmark designation.

Teams of four will compete in a clay shoot in the morning and afternoon.

The event includes breakfast and lunch, a silent auction and raffle, and refreshments at the end of the day.

Morning flight awards will be presented at lunch and afternoon flights after the completion of the event.

This new event will raise funds to ensure that Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most-visited national park, is preserved and protected for generations to come.

Registration for a team of four shooters is $1,000, which includes 100 clays.

FOTS appreciates Tim and Marilyn Wright for hosting the event and for the support of event sponsors.
