With more than 2,100 miles of streams, Great Smoky Mountains National Park attracts its fair share of anglers, an estimated 400,000 annually!

To help reach them all with project updates, reports, and fun fish facts about these precious freshwater resources, the seasonal rangers and interns in GSMNP’s fisheries department have compiled the first issue of Stream Guardian!

Park staff hope to complete this new newsletter bi-annually, and we’ll be sure to share the next edition as soon as it’s available.

For now, find a shady spot to cast your line and enjoy the first edition of Stream Guardian right here!
