2023 Plein Air Quick Draw Artist Registration
The ‘Plein Air Smokies’ Quick Draw Competition & Art Sale is an immersive experience for both artists and spectators. The art festival is part of the week-long ‘Plein Air Smokies‘ event in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The Plein Air Quick Draw will take place in Downtown Maryville, Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, 9am-11am. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 9 a.m. Artists paint ‘en plein air’ from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Framed art judging will take place at 11:30 a.m. and the Awards Presentation will be at 12 p.m. The art sale will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greenbelt Pavilion. Friends of the Smokies will receive a 45% commission of artwork sold to benefit Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The Quick Draw is open to any registered artist over the age of 14. Mediums accepted are watercolor, oil, pastel, and acrylic.
